About

studiotheader

I live in Central Illinois amidst the corn and soybeanfields for which the Midwest is known. In Nov. of 2006 I traded conference rooms, and business suits and high heels for  livingroom disscusions, crop pants and flip flops–changes inspired by the launch of Studio T, my home business. My studio overlooks woodlands which are adjacent to the Sangamon River. It is an inspiring peaceful place to paint and draw.

A former marketing professional, and self-taught artist. I have always nurtured a natural talent for drawing and painting. After an education in marketing and design, I spent several years working in marketing. Additionally, I have always dabbled in interior design when the opportunity arises. Working in these fields with color, balance, lighting, and composition, my sense or what would or would not work in a painting/drawing  was heightened immensely. Everything I’ve done over the course of my career has strengthened my skills as an artist. A segue from marketing and design to fulltime artist was an authentic transition.

My award winning work has been on display in galleries.  The scope of my work includes landscapes, still life, and impressionistic pieces. I specialize in portraiture in a variety of media. These portraits are created from my clients favorite snap shots. I have also branched into commissioned work, which focuses on art to complement specific decors. I have a great passion for art, which is second only to my passion and love for family.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
T
